India is a country where marriages are very colourful, full of rituals and celebrations, which continue for several days. It is one of the most joyous occasions in most of our lives. However this is not the case for many poor and needy families, for them marriage is a nightmare.

Due to poverty they are not able to buy clothes, let alone cover all the other related costs. Sadly some fathers and daughters commit suicide as they can’t bear the burden or the shame.

Through the help of our social workers and priests we reach out to such desperate families and help find potential life partners and organise the wedding service, buy them beautiful clothes, tents, music and all that is culturally appropriate along with a great meal for the local community.

We also bless the newlywed couple with gifts, especially giving them the basic household things they need to start their new life together.
